GOD IS GOOD! There is no other way to start out this blog post. He called us to this seemingly impossible journey of international adoption, and along the way He has asked us to build our faith in Him. He has sustained and He has provided, AMEN! We got a phone call last night from the last grant foundation we were waiting to hear from and they have awarded us a $2,000 grant! I am just so overwhelmed!
I have emailed our agency to see where we are at as far as funds needed, but I *think* we are $1500 or less. Can you believe that?!?! At the beginning this mountain looked too big to get over, but God has continued to show us that nothing is impossible for Him! We are walking this uncertain path, but we are certain of who is leading us.
Today also marks 37 days of waiting for our dossier to be approved. Wait times are still as unpredictable as ever, but we are still hoping for November travel. On Friday, Jon, Avery, and I will be starting our immunizations for the trip. Somehow that makes this seem that much more real. Each little milestone gives me a boost of energy to keep putting one foot in front of the other. There are definitely days where the waiting is HARD, but again, God sustains.
